This afternoon was our first local in person Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome support group at the community center. I am so pleased with how it went! I think we got about 10 different people to attend and we could’ve stayed and kept talking for hours. It was so nice to be amongst like-minded people who totally understand what each other are going through. I can’t wait to set up the next meeting , though I’m not sure when that will be yet. Because of this I met some people my own age, struggling with the same thing, which will hopefully allow me to make some new friends and feel more connected, and even do things outside of the house when I have the spoons for it. Never underestimate the power of human touch and connection! all the hard work to get this going and make it happen was absolutely worth it!
